Mobile Industry Training App a First
Learnedly, a new start-up company providing industry training for Canadian financial services professionals, has launched its mobile training app—an industry-first for Canadian financial services professionals.
“Our mission is to simplify financial training and remove the barriers to education for Canadian financial professionals,” says founder, John Waldron. “We are achieving this by making industry training affordable, modern and convenient.” Subscribers pay $20 a month for unlimited access to the entire content library, which they can stream on-demand with the Learnedly app on any Apple or Android device.
Learnedly is developing three types of training content for Canadian financial professionals: industry exam prep training, continuing education courses and a reference library. Waldron notes, “Our subscribers can prepare for industry licensing exams, earn continuing education credits and access reference material—all in one platform, anytime, on their desktop, tablet or phone.”
Learnedly is also partnering with other financial industry companies to offer training content on their products and services. “If a subscriber wants to evaluate different financial planning software; for example, they can explore our accredited training courses and earn continuing education credits in the process,” says Waldron. “If they are already using a particular software, our courses serve as a reference tool for quick access to training.”
“Canadian financial professionals should have access to low cost, modern training content. It’s not only a benefit to them and the financial industry, but it’s also a benefit to their client—the Canadian investor,” adds Waldron.
